Hi! I'm Alexander. I try to create my first site by Joomla 1.6 I have already installed Phoca Galery component and plugin. I configured Display Description In Detail View - Show and Display Title In Description- Hide. Also, I added this code:

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=2|limitstart=0|limitcount=28|detail=5|displayname=0|displaydetail=0|
displaydownload=0|imageshadow=shadow1|displaybuttons=0|displaydescription=1}

to the article.
And I wrote some text in the Description field in the Edit image.
But, there is no description in the image in the detail view.
Where ir my mistake?
I have the same problem with Watermark. I created and placed the file named watermark-large.png to the directory (/images/phocagallery/MyDirectory) with some images and turned on watermark show.
As a result there is no watermark on the large image.
ps Sorry for my English.
pps In the begining subject of this topic was "I can't see descriptions and watermark" Sure, I can see, but there is no description and watermark!

perhaps I can help you with the watermark problem.

I created and placed the file named watermark-large.png to the directory (/images/phocagallery/MyDirectory) with some images and turned on watermark show.
As a result there is no watermark on the large image.

Delete your old large thumbs (without watermark) and create them once more.

Thanks for help! But problem is present till now.
Here that I have made:
- Deleted images by AdminPanel-Components-Phoca Galery-Images from "Test" category
- Put the file named "watermark-large.png"in the "Test" directory for my images
- Added one test image named Screen01.png by AdminPanel-Components-Phoca Galery-Images in the "Test" category. Thumbs was re-created.
- Reload page with the test image in browser and there is no watermark on the large image.
Then I have looked at a file named "phoca_thumb_l_Screen01.png" and I have seen that the watermark is on the image. Hence, the browser shows not "phoca_thumb_l_Screen01.png"
Why it's happen?
The same result If I use another browser. Im working in Mozilla Firefox4. There is no watermark in any browsers. (GoogleChrome, MozillaFF and IE)

two things you should try out:
1. I never use watermarks with png images. I only use jpg. So try it with an jpg too.
2. Which Detail View do you use. With Highslide JS(Image only) it's possible to show the original image which can not include the watermark.

I already tried to do what you wrote, but there is not good result.
1. I changed png-file to jpg - no result.
2. I have a problem with phoca plugin code in my article. I use this code:

displaydownload=0|imageshadow=shadow1|displaybuttons=0|displaydescription=1}

If I change |detail=5| from 5 to 4 I see the some area of my page in popup window instead large image. If it helps to understend, I can make a couple of screenshots and place it to some free image hosting. Or post here direct links.

I have almost achieved result, that I need. I tried to use every value of "Detail Window" in "Detail View Settings" of Phocagallery Settings
And only one of it work almost correctly - Juk Lightbox. Only if I use Juk Lightbox I have both Watermark and Description.
But I steel have not a big problem - the image size in the Juk Lightbox screen are smaller, then should be. All my images have 800*600 pix size.
Can you help me to resolve this issue?

Well check your large image seize settings and couldn't it be that the picture is reseizing automatically to suit the sreen seize?

I still not resolve the problem. I sure, that I'm doing something wrong or forget to do something. I create some test site on the localhost by Denwer. There is my actions from the beginning step by step:
- create new site, installed Joomla 1.6.3
- install com_phocagallery_v3.0.0
- install and enable plg_content_phocagallery_3.0.1
- create new article named "Testing Phoca"
- create new menu item itn the main menu as a single article and link it to "Testing Phoca"
- create new folder named Cat1 in the X:\home\localhost\www\pt\images\phocagallery folder
- create file named watermark-large.png and place it to the Cat1 folder
- copy come image named "screen01.jpg" to the Cat1 folder
- configure Poca Gallery options:

• Detail View Settings-Detail Window-HighslideJS

• Description Settings-Display Description In Detail View-Show(Lightbox)

• Watermark Settings-Create Watermark-Yes(folder)

• Images And Detail Window Size Settings-Detail Window Width=800 and Detail Window Height=600 (all my images are 800*600

- create new category in the Poca Gallery "Cat1"
- add image throw Images in the Poca Gallery
- add text "Description for this image" in the description field of this image
- add code

to the article "Testing Phoca" and save it
When I open my test site in the browser and open my article, I see my text and the thumb of my image.

If I click on the thumb I see window with the thumb :
Where is my mistake?

it`s not enough to create am menu item to the article, you need to create a menu item to phoca gallery Component too to get valid itemID's
