Hi,
I have several images with long description and some with very short descriptions. Is there a way to set the dimensions of the description area to accommodate all sizes? Is it possible to set the dimensions to auto?

... if I understand you correctly...
For most image view alyouts the description area is as wide as the image it self.
If you have a small image then make it wider and the description box will be as wide as the image.

I need all of the thumbnails to be the same size. I would like the box around the image (description area) to enlarge based on the length of the description. I have well over 500 images organized in categories and need these changes to happen globally.

Hi, just set crop thumbnails in parameters and recreate thumbnails (select images and and then recreate button)

Hi, the boxes get the info from the CSS, so the gallery is made to have the sizes all the same (to look well designed), for now I don't have any experiences how to destroy this rule and make the boxes the size as the content is. Maybe you need to customize the html for category view for your self.
