Is possible, for the registered users, to upload photos to a category created previously by admin or only it's possible to submit to their own categories?

Unfortunately no, not yet but I hope so in the future. I have been looking for the same thing. When a user logs on they have the option to upload to a certain category. But the way it is set up at the moment is the registered user can upload to a specific category but must be set as the owner. Hopefully Jan will add the option for owner to "all" then all reg users can upload to the cat.

But for the moment, no mate sorry.

This would be a great feature to have!

Is not possible to change the property of all the categories to all the people or nobody ?
My categories are "photos of trips around that country" and the subcategories are the pictures "made by" in that country.

If the users can't upload to that created categories, they upload to a their own category and I have a lot of categories without sense, for me.
Til now people send me the photos and I upload to the "correct category"

Hi, users are able to upload images to category created by admin, depends on which rights has the user for the category.

User can upload to own category in UCP or to every category where he/she has rights to upload (in category view)

This means, User A can upload to category created by admin and he/she can upload image e.g. to category of User B, see:

Maybe I'm not understanding, or I can't set it.

The objective was to upload a new subcategory with images to a that category previously created as if I was an user.

Ex. categories: Italy, France...
Ex. subcategories: Toscana by Bruno, Paris by Ana, etc...

First: I changed the default set in category "Italy" in the backend,
Second: By the frontend I've created a new category. "Roma by Johan", as an user. I liked to put this category in "Italy"...
Third, I've uploaded an image to that category "Roma" the only possibility that I saw.

Now, the new category isn't in the category previously modified, "Italy", it's in "paralel" ( I supposed it when I didn't see possibilities to upload )

I tried two differents settings:

Access to see: All
Access User rights: default
Upload and Add User Rights: default / all users
Delete and Publish User Rights: nobody
User Folder: default / admin

I'd like:
Access Level ( see ) - to all registered users
Upload, create an category and put it into a category previous: to all the registered users

It's possible ?
