border around catagories thumbnails and thumbnail questions

im sorry if this is obvious im new to phoca gallery. im trying to put a colored border around the thumbnails in the categories section, is this possible? also can i make the border around the thumbnails smaller in the category view smaller like 1 or 2 px?
