phoca download button for 1.6

desparate for this to work in Joomla 1.6 - any timescales?
hi guys I'm very interested in this too. Infact using PDownload for J 1.6 hangs on the availability of this for me.
Some indication of whats going to happen with this would be very helpful in my decision making.
