Is it possible to get the drop down box in the frontend user upload to view the tree of the categories?

Now: (which is kinda messy when you have alot of categories)

2010
2011
other
2011
2009

Should be:
news
- 2010
- 2011
other
- 2011
- 2009

or:
news
news - 2010
news - 2011
other
other - 2011
other - 2009

How the hell are the users suppose to guess the right directories to upload to?
