Changes in Options are not saved

I want to change some options in Phoca gallery.
If you click on 'options' in the Control Panel of the Phoca Gallery Component there opens an popup where you can change several settings. After changing my settings I press on 'Save' or 'Save and Close' at the top of the popup window. Now I'll be redirected to the Configuration Center of Joomla and not to the Control Panel of the Phoca Gallery Component as it should be. In addition to that my settings/options that I have changed are not stored. Therefore I see no chance to change any options of the component.
I use Phoca Gallery 3.00 RC4 with Joomla 1.6
May there be any JavaScript error in the Component because if you click on Save you send a form via JavaScript? (so I guess?)

Hi,
please check eg. with help of phpMyAdmin if the following tables exist in your database:
jos_phocagallery
jos_phocagallery_categories
jos_phocagallery_comments
jos_phocagallery_fb_users
jos_phocagallery_img_comments
jos_phocagallery_img_votes
jos_phocagallery_img_votes_statistics
jos_phocagallery_user
jos_phocagallery_votes
jos_phocagallery_votes_statistics
Kind regards,
Benno

these tables exist.
I also have uploaded images everything worked great no errors. But I can't change the options. The option popup isn't closed if I click on 'Save & Close'. Instead I'm redirected to the Configuration Center of Joomla (in the popup window).
Local it works fine no problems - I can change options and they are saved.
Local I have PHP 5.3. On my webspace in the Internet I have PHP 5.2.6-1+lenny4 may this be the reason?
The local and online Joomla installation are nearly the same,:no extensions apart from a selfmade template and Phoca Gallery Component 3.0.0 RC4

Hi,
did you read it?
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... al-advices
7. Using Suhosin extension
If you are using Phoca Gallery version 2.7.5 or later and on your server Suhosin PHP extension is installed, you can run into problems when saving menu link to Phoca Gallery in Menu Manager.
One of the Suhosin security parameter is called suhosin.post.max_vars. Its value is mostly set to 200. But while saving menu link to Phoca Gallery in Menu Manager, more than 200 POST variables are transferred (more than 200 parameters). Unfortunately Suhosin does not retun any error message (this is maybe because of security reasons), the site is redirecting back to main site of Menu Manager and the menu link will be not saved.
It means, if you are not able to save menu link to Phoca Gallery in Menu Manager (Menus - e.g. Main Menu - New - Phoca Gallery - e.g. Phoca Gallery Category List Layout - Save) because the site is redirecting to main site of Menu Manager, try to check your PHP settings:
Joomla! administration - Help - System Info - PHP Information. Try to find 'suhosin' string, try to find the value of suhosin.post.max_vars. If there is such parameter and its value is approximately set to 200, you need to change it in php settings (increase this value e.g. to 250). There are other Suhosin security settings, so if the changing of suhosin.post.max_vars will not help, try to check other Suhosin parameters too (e.g. suhosin.request.max_vars, etc.).
Kind regards,
Benno

How can I change this value without root/admin access?? And why do this gallery have this "problem/fault/setting requirement" ?

Keine Ahnung wieviel tausend Kunden Du bedienst.
