Upload/Download Ratios

I'm looking at setting up a file exchange, a la the old dial-up BBS, and I'd like to be able to enforce either a per-user upload/download ratio or a user ranking system based on number of uploads (the way forum rankings are determined by number of posts), with allowed downloads determined by user rankings. E.g., every ten uploads bumps you up a rank, increasing your per-day download limit. Is this possible?

You can try to this with Alphauser Points, works fine with other extensions, but we used it for Download mainly. Eg. if you have specific amount of points - u can download, if u not - you should pay or earn them by - forum posts, article posts, weblinks posts and such, probably will work and for uploads.

Probably if Jan adds a price field, this can be solved fast with few plugins for Alpha Userpoints and Phoca Download 2.0.0 Final when it comes. I'm too busy with one big project, to mess up with Release Candidate and remembering which string of AUP was used in past to make it operational, but if you have time - you can play a lot or to wait for 2.0.0 Final :)

[s]Rename the useless field Version: in the language files at least to price, so u don't get up in a mess a bit later and then play with AUP rules, if u can't handle it. I'll make the rules for a small fee.[/s]

Nah, last will not work without hacking the code.
If Jan adds support for AUP - http://alphaplug.com/index.php/products ... ml?start=2, then renaming Version to Price will work. Damn Nooku framework took my whole night of reading/writing.
