Hi,
i have problems with the installation of 2.0.0 RC2 on my Joomla 1.6 site.
PHP Version: 5.2.4

I tried to install it with the extension upload manager and with the "install from directory". Both fails.
I turned on the ftp layer with the same result:

Fehler

* JFolder::create: Das Verzeichnis kann nicht erstellt werden!
* JFolder::create: Das Verzeichnis kann nicht erstellt werden!
* Component Install: DB function reports no errors
* Failed deleting uninstall.phocadownload.php
* Failed deleting phocadownload.xml
* Failed deleting install.phocadownload.php

The file and directory rights are ok. The installation of favicon , gallery and guestbook were ok.

Have anyone an idea to solve this?

Hi,
versuche mal per Hand (FTP) folgende Verzeichnisse zu löschen:
/phocadownload
/components/com_phocadownload
/administrator/components/com_phocadownload
/images/phocadownload

und die Dateien:
/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_phocadownload.ini
/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_phocadownload.sys.ini

falls Du das deutsche Sprachpaket installiert hast auch noch:
/language/de-DE/de-DE.com_phocadownload.ini
/language/de-DE/de-DE.com_phocadownload.sys.ini

Danach "install from directory"

Bis auf das /images/phocadownload war alles weg.

Beim neuen Version über das Verzeichnis zu installieren kommt folgende Meldung:

* JFolder::create: Das Verzeichnis kann nicht erstellt werden!
* JFolder::create: Das Verzeichnis kann nicht erstellt werden!
* Component Install: DB function reports no errors
* Failed deleting uninstall.phocadownload.php
* Failed deleting phocadownload.xml
* Failed deleting install.phocadownload.php

dann versuch mal die Verzeichnisse per FTP anzulegen, und dann zu installieren.

Scheint nun zu klappen! Habe manuell noch per chmod die phocadownload.xml in administrator\components und in components angepasst, dann lief die Installation durch.
