Hi,
I just added a sub category to my main category and it is appearing on the same level as the Main Category (and within the Main Category which is good!). Is there a setting for this?
In addition, I have the option "Display Image instead of folder icon" turned off but the image is still showing instead of the folder icon. How cna I fix this?

Yes!
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Categories View Settings (List of Categories) -->
Display Subcategories=Yes
In addition, I have the option "Display Image instead of folder icon" turned off but the image is still showing instead of the folder icon. How cna I fix this?
Check if Global Configuration is overwritten in Parameters Component.

Thanks for your quick reply. However, I think you may have misunderstood my issue. The subcategory is showing in BOTH places - at the Main Category level AND within the Main Category folder. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi,
1.)If parent category(s) contains no images but only sub category(s)
You can set:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Categories View Settings (List of Categories) -->
Display Subcategories=Yes
Display Empty Categories=No
You will only see sub category(s) in categories view.
In your case the parent category "General KPY" contains Test Image 1
and the sub category "sub category" contains Test Image 4
This means:
2.) in your case it is set:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters --> Categories View Settings (List of Categories) -->
Display Subcategories=Yes
Display Empty Categories=Yes
You see parent category(s) and sub category(s) in categories view.
So decide what you like...
Kind regards,
Benno

I've opted for option 2 but I do not want the "General KPY » sub category" to appear on the main screen with the other folder (General KPY, basketball, baseball, football, softball). I only want "General KPY » sub category" to appear WITHIN General KPY. Right now it's in both places. Any idea's?

No problem!
