Reset sub category as top level category

Hello,

Thank you this great extension, I am very happy with it.

I performed a bulk upload of many images in many categories by ftp, then did a multiple add from the admin panel. It appeared that I could only add all the folders as subcategories, so I did.

I would like to know whether there is a way to change them to top level categories? It would be great if I could perform this function to multiple subcategories at the same time.

Please advise

Thanks

Hi, Multiple add function follow the folder structure, if there are some folders, they will be top categories, if there are some subfolders, then they will be subcategories, the tree is the same.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

As I recall, when I selected all the folders and tried to add them I was asked to select a category to put them in.

No matter, I have more folders to add later so will re-examine it.

In the meantime, is there any way to move the folders/categories to top level?

Thanks

Hi, were the files selected too? This check works if some file is selected

No, I think it was only folders.

I uploaded all the folders, with images in, via ftp. I then went to multiple add and saw all the folders listed. I selected them all and attempted to proceed. A pop up appeared telling me I had to select a category. I then had to go back to make a category and repeated the exercise.

I now have 1 top level category with all the folders as subcats.

I would like to move them to top level. Is that possible?

Thanks

Hi, I think the best way is delete the images, recreate the folder structure and use the multiple again, for now there is no move function.
