detail option to display category images in lightbox

I have the module setup displaying 1 random image from specified categories.
The module link option is set to "Link to Category". So of course when the user clicks the module they are presented with the default category view.
I would like to use the "Link to Detail Image" module link option along with the Jak Lighbox detail but it only displays the image(s) that is currently displayed in the image module.
Is there a way to setup the module so that when the user clicks on the image module, they are presented with the image detail (I use Jak Lightbox for the detail) window that shows all the images in the category?
This would make it work just like the gallery module when the user clicks on a single image and they get the lightbox with all images in the thumbnail list of jak lightbox.
