cannot create new category in Joomla1.6

Hello,
I have installed phocadownload 2.0.0rc in joomla 1.6 and cannot create new categories. Although I have inserted a text in data field "title", there is warning "Speichern fehlgeschlagen! Fehler: CATEGORY MUST HAVE A TITLE".

Hi, not sure what can be wrong there, I am testing it and works OK
Try to enable debug mode, maybe you get some error message there

In debug mode there was following hint:
JDatabaseMySQL::query: 1146 - Tabelle ..._phocadownload_categories' existiert nicht SQL=SELECT ...

Today I installed Joomla1.6 new and the component phoca download too. Now I was able to create new categories.

I'm having the same problem. When I turn on debugging, navigate to the Phoca Download control panel and click on catagory, I get a 500 internal server error. Please advise.

Hi, 500 internal server error mostly means some php error, try to enable php reporting to get more info about the error.

I've had the same issue. I removed PhocaDownload from the extension manager and re-installed it. Now it works! (don't ask me why)
