inaccessible pictures

Dear all,
Just downloaded Phoca Gallery 2.7.6. (still used an older version).
I messed around a little with the settings of the parameters. During these actions I lost a setting that I can't seem to correct, after trying really hard I can't find it anymore
Before, when you opened my photo page and selected an category it showed 10 thumbs and beneath it the option to go to the next page, previous, start, end etc. and then you would see another 10 thumbs and so on.
Now there is no option to go to the next 10 thumbs, so most of my pictures are inaccessible!!
Does anyone know how to change this back?? It must have something to do with the pagination but what and how??
PLEASE HELP!
