Hello!

I'm using Phoca Gallery and I'm interested to allow that users can be upload his photos trought User Control Panel. I don't want that users can be create a categories and subcategories. Only upload images in my previous created categories.

I configure all categories with allow upload images for every registered users but when a user go to User Control Panel, is not view any of this categories and allow the option to create new categories.

How can I solve it?

Sorry for my bad english. I try to rewrite my question with some good explication:

I created in Backend a many categories and subcategories and I allow registered users to upload photos in frontend (every category). But also I want to users can manage his control Panel. I want that users can upload photos in every category that I've created but can not create a new categories/subcategories.

How can I do?

Hi, there are two ways users can upload images (category view, ucp) and only one way to create e.g. categories (in ucp), see:

Hi Jan,

We are not understanding. I have read this documentation many times but not solve my question.

I want that users can upload images via UCP into my created categories but they can not create any categorie and subcategorie. Only upload images via UCP at my predefined categories.

Maybe there are a bug, because in backend I configure that users can upload images in frontend but when they acces trought UCP not view any category.

you need to set the the user is a owner of main category and set that he/she cannot create subcategories (set zero for count of categories)

So user will be able to go to ucp, the main category will be created for him/her yet and he/she will be not able to create subcategories only upload images there.

Hi Jan!

I tested this in past but is not posible to select all registered users in this owner section. Also is not posible to select more than one user and it's very interesting that can do it.

Hi, then maybe the script will not load, because it will consume every memory to check the different rights (image, categories, link, groups, users, owner, etc.)
