Hi,
the backend images page loads kind of slow because there's a lot going on 'behind the scenes'. But 2-4 minutes are definitely too long! I have got a couple thousand images and more than 100 categories and the page usually loads in under 10 seconds...
Decrease the number of images displayed per page (eg to 20), maybe that helps ?!
regards,
rk

I'm facing the same problem. I have almost 2,000 categories and a lot more of images, but why it is soooo slow? and it is slow only on backend not in frontend.

Hi, do you follow the recommeded settings written in Info panel in administration of Phoca Gallery?
Phoca Gallery does a lot of things automatically (whithout user must care about it), but this can take some time, so there are recommended settings to prevent from slow administration.

Hi Jan,
I have followed the recommendations on info panel, everything is configured ad appear there, but the backend is still really slow. I don't know why. It takes a lot of time to open the info panel, or any other tab in the phocagallery component. Do u know any other issue that could be causing that?
Best Regards!

Hmmm, no idea there, maybe try to check all other system plugins but really don't know what can slowdown it.
If thumbnail creation is disabled, if the automatically removing of not used thumbnails is disabled, then only e.g. 20 images are loaded on the site (in image view), nothing other

Same issue here...backend is painfully slow. Is there some sort of indexing problem? I have about 5000 images, and 2000 categories.
It isn't failing, but like the others have posted, it takes a couple of minutes to load each page.
If anyone has found a solution, please post
