Guestbooks visibility vs. privilages

hi,
I want to show 2 guestbooks: one for registered members and one for public users. The problem i got is the one for registered isnt shown for public users. What i want is both to be shown (as menu item) for public users but only the one for public users to be accessible for posting. If a non registered user wants to access the registered one, should be pointed to Register/Login, first. Is that possible? If yes, how?
what settings i have to make? or some code lines? Any help in this topic will be highly appreciated.
