Displaying a Picasa map ?

Hi,

In Picacsa, there is a facility to plot album photos on a Map and then click a link on the right hand column to view the map - we have set-up the Picasa Album in Phoca Gallery Ok but is it possible to display a Picasa map using Phoca Gallery, showing the geolocation of thumbnail photos from the Album?

Thanks.

Tommy

Hi, in Phoca Gallery you can display map of category or map of image - if you are importing images from Google Picasa and they included Geo tagging information, this is automatically added to Phoca Gallery and can be displayed there, see Geotagging parameters.

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry for delay in responding, I've been away for a few days.

I see under Parameters there is ....

Categories - Geotagging Longitude
and
Categories - Geotagging Latitude

which I assume is what you refer to.

In Picasa there's a link to "View Map" which shows where I've placed the photos but where do I get the Longitude and Latitude info from to add under Parameters? I can see a Long and Lat for each photo I've placed but I assume there's one for the map somewhere?

Thanks.

Tom

Hi, no idea if I can give you some advice for Picasa but if you set Geotagging in Picasa for the image, then it is stored in Phoca Gallery while importing - (but I don't know all the geotagging feature in Picasa - I have added the geotagging with help of map in Picasa when I have tested this feature)
