Hi, this is more a question on some SEO experts not on the component :-(

Google Bot visits some sites per hours, some per days, some per weeks, some per months, some per years, and some nowhere

So if the images are displayed on your site and they include ALT description (or title) then you need to ask some expert what to do so Google will add these images to search results.

One more thing though...

I installed Xmap... it also doesn't see my Pictures. It only sees menu Food Categories (which takes user to food categories, phoca categories), and not ONE link in it (and I have 12 first level, 20+ second level and who knows how many 3rd level categories...2500 photos ...

Every single one of them has a Title, alias (alt text), and some of them even description, meta description and keywords.

Pictures are also visible on the site perfectly, but NOT visible for Google and Xmap...

Help appreciated.

p.s. Why do I have numbers before every category in my site's URL? *food-categories/category/8-salads
*food-categories/category/72-seafood-salad

Hi, see the Xmap settings if it has some settings for Phoca Gallery.

See Joomla! documentation why the SEF is using numbers (this is SEO friendly - you allways get e.g. the same article in case you will change alias)

Hi, Phoca Gallery images are normally displayed on your site, it means with img tag and they include alt attribute (which is not so important for SEO as it was in the past. So no idea what can be wrong there :-(

If I am testing it, it works normally  - see e.g. http://goo.gl/BhEU

Hi Jan, it seems that is working fine with your website thanks for your example, mine is not working and i am trying to figure out how is that possible :(
If you have some time please have a look http://goo.gl/x0do
If it works for you it's probably something wrong with my settings but i can't find what's wrong
Thanks again for everything!!

ps. i've just upgraded to 2.7.5 from 2.7.4 that i had, hoping that this was the problem

Hi, there is no problem if you are using this or other version, the output is in fact the same - standard img tag, so then it only depends on the robot if it will add the images to its index or not ... but then it is more Google question  :(

I must say that I still haven't solved this issue. Google and Xmap just don't see ANY Phoca pictures. No idea why. (Maybe it will work if I set NoPopup in Detail Window??)

I'm using Joomla 1.5.21, Phoca Gallery 2.7.5 with latest plugins, sh404SEF latest.

I hope I won't have to switch to some other component cause I really like Phoca.

Hope someone can help.
