i actually notice that thumbnails go missing are not properly (re)created for subcat in the first place.
How do I remedie this?

Take my main gallery category for example:
http://www.de-ridder.info/en/photoalbum.html

It has three subcategories:
Go into any of these, for example (single subcategiess) Aoife's First year or slightly more nested the general album year(month(suboccasion))
It displays standard foldericons

How do i get it to thumbnail its contents as the main page does
And secondary how do i stop a folder taking a random thumbnail on each pageload

Hi, all this can be set in parameters.

You need to set that in "CATEGORY VIEW" the image will be displayed instead of folder

Secon, you need to set other than random ordering for images displayed instead of folder icon, see:

Display image instead of folder icon - take a care which parameter you change (if the one for CATEGORIES VIEW or for CATEGORY VIEW)

Sorry for the offtopic, but how did you manage to put the subcategory name bellow the image ? ( 0-1 Month, 1-2 Month ).
