Hi,
you can use these methods for uploading:
- single upload
- ftp upload
- external upload e.g. with help of media manager
- java upload (java upload is powered by java applet and there are some problems on some servers or on some browser settings - this feature was added as it is - it is known issue that it can have problems on some server but for users who have no problems with java upload, it can be helpful)
- flash upload (does not work with with latest flash plugins because of security issue)
Because of some problems with java upload and flash upload (mentioned above), in Phoca Gallery 3.0.0 new upload feature was added - Multiple Upload, which includes the option to upload with the following methods:
* Flash Uploader (with or without Chunk feature)
* Gears Uploader
* Silverlight Uploader
* HTML 4 Uploader
* HTML 5 Uploader
* Browserplus Uploader
For more details see:
https://www.phoca.cz/news/30-phoca-news/ ... 2-released
But if you need java upload feature and it does not work for you in Phoca Gallery, I think you should try to use other gallery (but not sure if other gallery does not use the same java upload applet

so it is more dependent on browser or server settings)

yes
I upload 200kB files
first upload - then I have got error message
and I cant see this one upload file in image list
EDIT:
I have question: if there must be "something" on server that allows Java scripts?
something install or allow some tributes?
Is there a some other way to add 10 or 20 photos on one time without using Java?
I'm not talking about use FTP and them add one by one photo by using "Add"

Hi, Java applets are running on PC and communicate with sever like e.g. browser do, so I think (but I am not server expert), there is no function to manager java on server.
In Phoca Gallery 3, there is a new multiple upload feature (but it is possible to use it since Joomla! 1.6 because updated mootools library

)

Is there a frontend flash upload for the J! 1.5 version?
The current one is not very useful :/

Hi, no, I have worked on new upload feature under 1.6 because in 1.5 there is obsolete mootools library which has problems with jquery library (even if no conflict behaviour is used)

You mark the topic as solved, but the Java Uploader is really not working on 2.7.6, and i have windows, running XP...
So can i install the v3 on the Joomla 1.5.x ? or it works only on 1.6 ?
thanks!

Hi,
Phoca Gallery 3 is written for Joomla! 1.6
I didn't marked the topic as solved yet, it was set after some user has solved something in this topic.
The Java Upload is very problematic, the feature is there because some users need it (and they does not have problem with using it) but from all the java upload topics you can see it is very problematic and depends on used browser, used Operating System, used Java Plugin in OS and used server
