Hi, did you set the upload right for the category. If the user doesn't have upload right the category will be not displayed.
It means, you should go to the category, select user which will have upload right to the category and then the category will be displayed for the user. If user has no upload rights to any categoy then none of them will be displayed for him.

The option "Enable User File Authorization" is not working as it should, the admin get's no emails and all uploaded files are authorized, even if the option is set to YES.
Thanks for all your efforts.

I'm getting the following error page shown after trying to upload to Phoca Download (see below). But when I go to the category to see what files are in it, the new files are there. Very strange. What might cause this? Using Joomla 1.5.14 and a very recent version of XAMPP.

bzahn,
Can you post the non-sef url that resulted in that 404 page? It does not need to include your domain name. It may help track down where the problem exists.

Sure. Here is the URL for the upload page. Upon clicking the "Start Upload" button (and after selecting a file for upload), the 404 page is displayed.
/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&view=user&Itemid=57
Thanks for looking at this.

Hmm. Interesting. Now that I turned off the SEF function, I no longer get that error page.

Hmmm. Even more interesting. Now that SEF URLs are turned back on, I no longer get the 404 page. Who knows what started all this. I'm just glad it's gone.
So far, I'm really happy with the user upload feature. Keep up the good work, Jan!
