I've already sorted this out...
The following path, doesn't exist. Actually I can't even find the file "phocagalleryupload.php" to which it refers.
administrator/components/com_phocagallery/helpers/phocagalleryupload.php
Still looking for an answer.

If there is not some file, there were problem by installing, or some code is calling obsolete methods

was for version 2.2.4
But patches are hard to do when the gallery is updated frequently so. If some changes would be included in the code, the official version.
In terms of stability I liked file archive DocMan, because it was stable - once install, and you rejoice.
