I don't see where to find that.

when a problem occurs while creating thumbnails, Phoca sets 'thumbnails creation' to no. Could you check if it's enabled or if it's disabled?

Thank you, Carolien and Jan. I thought for sure I would find my Thumbnails Creation setting set to Yes (because that's what I set it to), but it was set to "No". I set it back to yes, and uploads work perfectly once again.

I should have recalled that in both times I got the "error saving filename," just prior to that the user uploaded a "bad" file (it was over 3000 pixels wide), and that file could not be displayed--the small and medium thumbnails were created but not the large thumbnail. When attempting to display the image, the wait cursor just spins and spins. BTW, when the image was reduced to 2900 pixels wide, it was able to create all three thumbnails. Have you seen this behavior?

The fact that the "error saving filename" didn't happen until several uploads after the problem mentioned above occurred is strange. Therefore, I didn't think they were related, but now I know it is cause and effect. Anyway, now I have an easy way to fix it, should it happen again. Thank you very much.

Nelson

@Jan, thanks this worked for me. I have done nothing to my config or installation, so it seems pretty strange that it stop working on front upload. Same problem as descriped @Nelson G
