Hi,

I use the latest Version 3.2.1 (german) and I still experience this issue. On my website I see the placeholders "COM_PHOCAGALLERY_FILE_FILENAME" etc., but in the german language file the placeholders have different names "COM_PHOCAGALLERY_FILE.FILENAME" (. instead of _). In view.html.php I see the inserted line "$vs = str_replace('.', '_', $vs);" that you mentioned.

The correct translations are only shown on my page, if I change "COM_PHOCAGALLERY_FILE.FILENAME" to "COM_PHOCAGALLERY_FILE_FILENAME" in the language file.

Hi, try to:

- download the latest german translation from Olaf: https://joomweb.de/
- if there will be still old strings, please try to ask Olaf if there is a fix for german translation.
