cool, nice to know- but it doesn't answer my question : I succeeded uploading files to my articels, I just want to know how the category can lead to an article:
I want to have the category showing the number of files available and most downloaded, and I want it to direct to the article where I posted images next to the download files.

I am still stuck with the 404 error- whenever I try to enter the "user upload" menu....
any thoughts why it could happen?

I did now and indeed the 404 went away but im now being directed out of my site (because it is offline...) and I have and error saying: "user user upload is disabled"

I checked the documentation for user upload in this site and I read you have to manually enabled it: but where?
I can't find anywhere to do this operation.

By the way- I upgraded to the latest version, but still no difference.

OHHHHHH- in the options!!! didn't think to look there. the preview button is also there and was set to : no.
