Category Title not displaying on List of Images (Category Vi

I have searched the manual and this forum extensively but still not been able to find an answer to a relatively simple issue:

Migrating a site from Joomla 1.5 - 2.5; using Phocagallery 3.22 I cannot find a way to display the title of a category above thumbnails in a "List of Images (Category View)" module. I have checked through all global setting (components/phocagallery/options) as well as 'basic options' in the relevant menu item, and failed to find anything that addresses the issue.

The previous (1.5) version of the site displays the category title fine, and I have compared all settings with the migrated (2.5) site and they seem to be identical.

Hi, there were no changes, you can still set it in Parameters in menu link.

Where exactly? Everything in 'basic options' looks fine, and there is no 'Parameters(Component)', which used to exist in the 1.5 menu item settings...

Hi, yes, parameters component can be set only in global configuration:

OK; I've added the relevant field from
administrator/components/com_phocagallery/config.xml
to
components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/default.xml
as per instructions at
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... a-25-17-16

...so now I have a the field 'Display Title in Description' in the menu link Basic Options. But setting it to 'yes' still doesn't make the category title display above the thumbnails in Category View.

Any ideas?

Hi, "display title in description" means, that the description (e.g. under detail image in popup will display title before the description) - this is not related to category view

So what is related to category view? How can I get the category title to display above the image list in category view, either globally or via the menu item parameters, or by hacking the code, or anything?

Basic Options - Display Category Name In Page Title: Display
Page Display Options - Show Page Heading: Yes.

Hi guys, thanks for this thread, it was not easy for me to marry those two parameters, though... Thanks!
By the way, I am trying to change category default.php in a way so that the title displays:

main category - subcategory

(like the breadcrumbs do), not

menu title - category

. Is there a simpler way to achieve that without going into php; or perhaps any ideas how to do it with php?

I am using Joomla 3.7.5 and phoca gallery 4.3.6; I have the JSN Décor template.
I have followed the documentation to set up the gallery as in the demo and, in the menu settings, I selected Display for "Display Category Name in Page Title", all other options are on Hide, but the title is not shown (http://www.missione-berna.ch/index.php/it/fotogallery check any of the categories therein).
What else do I need to set?
