Hi, I have a question about Phoca Cart updates.
I don't understand if you have to update manually or if the updates are reported through Joomla Extension Manager.
I ask because I currently have 4.0.10 and in the downloads I see that 4.0.11 exists.
Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to answer my question!

Re: Phoca Cart Updates
Hi,
Just try loading via "Package Installation":
Extensions > Update Package File
Browse for File (with the previously downloaded package 4.0.11)
Kind regards
Christine

Hi @christine, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I guess I can update manually, but my question was another.
I repeat for clarity: when there are updates are they reported by the Joomla Extension Manager?
Thanks!

Re: Phoca Cart Updates
My doubt also arises from the fact that if I do "Check for update" I see this screen from which 4.0.10 seems to be the current version, leaving one to assume that 4.0.11 is still a beta

Re: Phoca Cart Updates
Hi,
4.0.11 is stable and is written in manifest.xml:
https://github.com/PhocaCz/PhocaCart/bl ... nifest.xml
so it should be correctly displayed in Joomla Extension Manager.
We have no 5 RC (release candidate), so when 5.0.0 will be stable, then it will be even written in manifest.xml

Hi Jan, thanks for the reply.
For some reason the update is not proposed, I will update manually.
Thanks again,

Re: Phoca Cart Updates
Hi Jan, I've recently updated an old J3 site to J4. I installed (I think) nearly all phoca extensions I had installed on J3 again/over (with the official J4 version from phoca site) per zip file after the migration. When I now check for updates in J4-Admin I get many phoca updates to v5.x versions which is not correct, is it?Jan wrote: ↑16 Mar 2025, 00:36 Hi,

Re: Phoca Cart Updates
Hi @jagg1010,
I'll take one example here: https://www.phoca.cz/download/81-phoca- ... -component
Version 5.0.2 is usable for Joomla 4 and Joomla 5.
(btw: This thread belongs to Phoca Cart).
Kind regards
Christine

Re: Phoca Cart Updates
Hm, but upgrading that mentioned e.g. Phoca Maps to v5.0.2 on a Joomla4 site isn't really a good option I think, @Jan?
Or why else are there special versions for J4 and J5?

So I don't think it's correct when those updates to J5 versions are shown in the normal J4 update viewPhoca Maps (J5) com_phocamaps_v5.0.2.zip
Phoca Maps (J4) com_phocamaps_v4.0.2.zip
