searching not showing all expecting results.

Hello, I have the following settings.
Joomla 4.4.0
com_phocadownload_v4.0.9.zip
plg_finder_phocadownload_v5.0.10
plg_finder_phocadownloadcategory_v5.0.10

There are 11 phocadownload categories and arounf 850 files. When doing search, I find some items are not showing, although they have literally title fit search words. Strangely, other items are searchable with the same condition.

I tried changing Indexer Batch Size from 50 to 10, which is not working.

Where should I start to track this problem? What can I do to improve the search result?

Hi, are you sure, all items were indexed by Smart Search, sometimes it does not index all items at once and there is a need to index them again. I am now working with Joomla 5 Smart Search, so hard to say if Joomla 4 Smart search has such a problem

Hi, Yes I can get results from admin indexing page, which gets more items compare with front-end search. I wonder what caused the situation happens.

update: now I find key point is files are set permission: registered. That's why they are not searchable from unlogged front-end.

The question should be: Can I show search results to public while the file premission is registered?

You can display such files in category view - they are viewable and when user clicks on them, then login page will be displayed.

Not sure if this is possible in smart search plugin, when not the plugin needs to be updated and the condition for checking if the file is accessible or not should be removed - but then this will be valid for all items.
