The phoca download component works well. I have the problem that individual users download far too many documents. I would like to limit the number of files to download.

How can I limit the number of downloaded files in Phoca Download?

Thanks for the reply. The maximum number of downloads per file can be set in the options. That's right.

We have a lot of files to download.
Now I want to prevent dozens of files from being downloaded.

I would limit this to a maximum of 5 files (e.g. PDF files).
Is this possible?

I am using the latest version of Phoca Download. It runs on Joomla 5, also the latest version.

All users must register to download. You can then download documents.

The point now is that I can limit the number of files that can be downloaded.

There are users who download up to 90 documents. I would like to reduce this to max. 7 documents.

The logged in users should decide for themselves what is interesting for them. However, I don't want you to download an extremely large number of documents.

Can you tell me how to limit this?

I think this is very essential for a download extension.

Hi,

in Phoca Download options, you can set:
maximum count of downloads per file (there is no limit per user but per file)
or
maximum count of uploaded files per user.

Until now, there was no feature request list to limit downloads per users as mostly there is no need to somehow limit e.g. logged in users.
