Getting files into Phoca Download

I am having issues getting PDF files into Phoca Download. Using the Upload method works but it is only seems to work for files from my computer. I have 22 folders that each have about 5 files each in a different folder on the host. I have copied all the folders int the phocadownload folder and the folder names match the catagories I have created in PD. How do I get them to show up in PD from there without downloading them and than re-uploading then with the PD upload? What am I doing wrong?

When I go through the steps in the link above I only see files that I have uploaded with the PD upload not the files I have copied into the PD folder. Have I copied the files to the wrong folder? I did not FTP them, the files were in a different folder on the host and were copied into the phocadownload folder.

No, I don't think you copied the files to the wrong folder on the server, because you wrote: “I did not FTP them, the files were in a different folder on the host and were copied into the phocadownload folder.” Now you just have to assign these files to Phoca Download files. The easiest way to do this is via Multiple Add.
See image #3 and #4 of the linked thread.

Also I do not see where the files I have uploaded with the PD upload are located.

The Phoca Download upload function uploads files to the /phocadownload/ folder or a subfolder of /phocadownload/ if you have created one.
