PHOCA CART 5.0.0 Beta 90
I have a couple of issues with this module that are kind of annoying.
1. When the products scroll and reach the number set per view, the scroller pauses for an instant and scrolls the next number of products and does the same thing. Then when all of the possible images have shown, it streaks all images back to the beginning and starts over. For customers, this is a distraction and looks very unprofessional. Is there any way to set the pause time? If it could be set to some longer value, then it would be a better view for customers.
Can the scroller be set to just start over a repeat the scroll withour streaking back all images?
2. Turning off the Swiper Library results in the slider stopping and only showing 1 image at a time, in a vertical column with no controls. What, exactly, is the Swiper Library supposed to do?

Hi,
1) unfortunately, I am not the developer of the slideshow, so hard to say if the slideshow feature can be customized this way. So this needs to be directly customized in the slideshow which is Swiper library
2) Swiper library is the slideshow feature. Phoca Cart adds the product info to this library which makes the slideshow effect. So disabling it stops the slideshow (the option for disabling it is here because if another feature loads the library, it is not loaded twice)

Thanks Jan.
So who is the developer? This could be a good extension. It has Phocas name on it so its usefulness reflects on Phoca

I am not a coder. I can sometimes tweak a file to change something, but I have no idea where to look to affact such changes. Can you point me in the right direction? Then maybe together we can figure it out.

I think a lot of the problems I have with this module and some other issues with Phoca Cart in general are related to the Joomla 5 beta. So I have rolled back my site to J4 and installed the J4 version of the Cart and things are better now. When you have a solid version ready for J5, I will update.

Hi,
which problems exactly do you get in J5 and not in J4 - because J5 version is in fact J4.
The Swiper slideshow can be found there: https://swiperjs.com/

Other than the scroller, I found that whjen creating shipping and payment option, the field "shipping method" and "payment method" in the setting for those items were not popoulating no mattter waht I did. When I did the roll back to J4 and the Cart version 4.0.11
all of that worked as expected.
I should note here, that after I did the roll back to Joomla 4.4.10 and Phoca Cart 4.0.11, Joomla could be updated to 5.2.3 and there does not appear to be any ill affects to Phoca Cart so far.

The latest version of Swiper.js is 11.2.1 while Phoca Cart uses 10.2.0.Jan wrote: ↑24 Jan 2025, 03:19 Hi,

I have no comment on Swiper. I have never used it other than in the Scroller module, so I know nothing about it. I have found anopther way to display categories in a slider so I won't be using the Scroller module
