Is there a way to display the author's name on the thumbnails of the images?

Post by Patrick1957 »

Hi!

Is there a way to display the author's name on the thumbnails of the images ?

Currently only the title of the image is displayed.
Maybe by modifying the code?

Hi,
author's name in addition to the name of the image or instead of?
An option is to enter the name of the author in the description of an image.

If only the author's name is to be displayed, the description of an image could be used and the name of the image could possibly be hidden by css.

Thank you very much. KaEM

These are the images of the user galleries.
Most users do not think about putting their nick in the title.

I would like a way for this to be automatically

Hi,

thus images of different authors from different cameras are to be loaded into the gallery.
Thereby you have anyway the problem that the file names are different and should be adapted according to a uniform syntax.
putting their nick in the title
That means your intention is to adapt the title accordingly, whereby the title corresponds to the file name, correct?

I do not know any feature in the Phoca Gallery that automatically supports this type of title or file name change.

In my opinion, this should be regulated by a uniform workflow and the necessary adjustments should be done before importing into the gallery. This could be done when exporting the images out of an image editing program (e.g. Lightroom). Another approach is a separate program that renames all eligible images before upload.
