Gallery protection

Hello,

i need a little assistance. I am using Joomla 2.5 and I need to password protect every cathegory in photo gallery ? I dont want to register every signle user. I want to protect those cathegories by .htaccess and .htpasswd. with predefined usernames and passwords.

I mean want to have A B C cathegories of photos/images.

In images/phocagallery I have created file A - inside this file A I have uploaded some images and .htaccess file

than in root ( file where entire joomla is installed is located .htpasswd file).

but this still doesnt work, anyone still can enter file A without having to enter any username or password.

Hi, I think for fully protected gallery you need to do a combination of server protection (htaccess, htpasswd) and login system in Phoca Gallery (access rights)
