Assign margin price to product

Post by andressolano »

In the form when the product is created, it would be perfect if there was a field to put the price of the costs, that way when a product is sold, it would be possible to know how much the profit is, and that it would be reflected in the reports.

This is what the report should look like: total sales, total profits, total costs

It would also be amazing if this cost price and earnings could be seen only by the super user, but if not all of the above is enough

It must be understood that when using a point of sale or sales system, something fundamental is being able to know how much is being sold, when it is being spent on materials, how much in taxes and finally how much in profits.

As an extra, it could be that the user who creates the products could create extra fields, which can be added or subtracted from the prices, for example if a product is a sandwich, you can put the price of bread, lettuce, etc.

If 20 sandwiches are sold, be able to know how much is spent on materials

Hi, thank you for your ideas. For now there is only one field - the price - because of simplicity and clarity. A lot of users just hate some ecommerce solutions which are overloaded with calculation price fields which make it very unclear and difficult to manage.

So the question here is, does calculation of prices belongs to ecommerce? And you get many different answers here

Anyway added to feature request list:

Yes I totally understand what are you saying, because calculation prices could be more in the side of a administration solution.
