Partial payment on checkout

I have an HVAC company who wants an online system sale and install page. Customers will go to the page. select the appropriate system with options and it will give a total - say, $10,000. On checkout, they will be charged a deposit - say 50% - so the cart will just pass $5000 to the payment portal. Can this be done in Phoca Cart?
