Publishing maps in articles with POIs in KML

Hi,

I'm looking for a google maps plugin that is able to publish maps in articles via placeholder. Used Mike Reumers plugin before, but it's deprecated and has some security issues. The placeholder looks like that:

{mosmap controltype='user'|kml='https://mysite.com/generatekml.php?p=xyz'|tooltip='POI Placemarker'|width=100%|height=320|zoom=11|svcontrol=0|showmaptype=1|showScale='1'|overview='1'|align=left}

The generatekml.php generates a KML file that works great on Google Earth and Google Maps.
Is there a chance to do the same with Phoca Maps? Please keep up your great work! Thanks!

Regards,
EmmWeh

Hi, in Phoca Maps you can use plugins to display maps in article, but there is no KML parameter. You can add the map directly or as embed:

So try to use the Phoca Maps plugin with embed function for the KML file:

{phocamaps view=iframe|iframesrc=Link to Map}

Hi Jan,
thanks, I tried. Unfortunately that does not help me.

The articles contain generated content. Content-related POIs are displayed on the map. So I have to pass an ID to generatekml.php to select the POIs to display.

In Phoca Maps I would have to create a separate map for each ID manually. That's not a good option, it's about several thousand articles.

Do you see a chance to implement such a thing?

Thanks,
EmmWeh

Hi, I can add it to feature request list, but really no idea if I will find time to take a look at it :-(

Well, that's fate if so many Phoca products are successful. I keep my fingers crossed! :-)
