API Key

Post by adamsr2 »

New to Phoca Maps. Downloaded the Component and Plugin today. With much difficulty, I believe I have an API Key. If I go to Phoca Maps>Maps, I get the message that Google Maps API Key is not set. It needs to be set in options to properly display the map. How do I do that? Joomla 3.82.

Wow and thanks! I should have been able to find that! Now I have a new problem: I have created a Google Map on the web. I have it centered on the destination. The Google Map is open on another tab in my browser. I go to Administration/Components/Phoca Maps? Maps then click "edit" on my newly created Phoca Map. I have named it. Then I click on "set coordinates". If I leave the fields blank, or if I put in N 43 34.142 and W87 17.411 or 43.5700566,-84.2930143, I get "Set by Street Address". So, I put in a street address and click "set". Then I get sent back to the Control Panel of Joomla! What am I missing? Some of the Phoca Maps documentation is not working. ("Settings, Maps, Icons"-server error 500). Maybe that might help me.

Hi, now it should be ok, there are some problems with cache, I will take a look at it. Thank you for reporting.
