Maps don't load anymore

Post by thepimster »

Joomla 3.8.2
php 5.6.32

Have used Phoca maps succesfully for several years without an API key, thank you!
Earlier this week I installed a SSL certificate and noticed afterwards that my maps didn't show up anymore, but instead It just displays a gray area. This was in Phoca Maps version 3.0.1. Found out that I could go to options and toggle 'Enable SSL API Load' to yes, after which the maps displayed again.
Realizing that my software was several versions behind I updated to 3.0.4, after which my maps stopped displaying again
Even though I noticed the forum has various topics on this issue already, none of the suggestions work for me. Rather than piggybacking on someone else's topic, I created my own.
I have tried to create a Google Maps API key and have inserted it in the appropriate option, but no joy. I could very well have done it wrong and wanted to follow you instructions at: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/53-phoca ... ps-api-key but the link results in a '500 server error'
Now I have nearly 300 pages without maps but big gray areas, i.e.: https://www.museumships.us/battleship/wisconsin
Don't know how to solve this, Help!

Thanks

Pim

Just noticed your own Phoca Maps demo page has the same problem: https://www.phoca.cz/demo/phoca-maps-demo-component

Please mark as solved. I forgot about the Phoca Maps Plugin.
After updating the plugin to 3.0.4 maps show as before.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
