Error 500 - behavior::modal not found

Post by Harry500 »

Hello,

as Phoca Maps is marked as compatible with Joomla 4 on Joomla Extensions, I downloaded and installed Phoca Maps 3.0.12 on a Joomla 4.0.2, but when I try to create a new map entry on the backend, there is an error 500 displayed saying "behavior::modal not found". This also happens when trying to create a new marker. Is this a bug or is it related to my installation?

Hi, it was marked when Joomla was Alpha/Beta. Unfortunately there were so many changes between Beta, RC and Stable (including completely new output BS5), so there are many parts which needs to be changed.

So for now Phoca Maps needs to get some changes to be ready for J4. When it will be ready, the version will be marked as 4.x.x

Hello, and thank you for the information. In this case phoca maps should not be marked as compatible with Joomla 4 on "extensions.joomla.org", because this gives the impression that it has been finished and is compatible with the current and final Joomla 4. However, is there a timeline when changes should be completed? And alternatively would the phoca maps plugin work without errors?

Does the phoca maps standalone-plugin already work without errors on Joomla 4?

What do you mean with "standalone-plugin"?

BTW I have corrected the information on extensions.joomla.org (it was tested on Beta and marked as working in Beta but it was automatically changed on JED as working in Stable).

This is what I mean with "standalone-plugin": https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... ps-plugin/ But as you changed the compatibility setting also for the plugin my question is answered therewith.

Hello,

is there any time frame for a stable version for use with Joomla version 4 as there is still the Alpha version by now?

Hi, unfortunately no time frame. I am now working on Phoca Cart which has over 115 views. In first view I found 5 issues reported on Joomla Github website. These problems stopped me for a few weeks. So it is really hard to make some time frames because you never know which problems you discover when overwriting extension from J3 to J4. :-(
