PHP Deprecated: and PDF not working

Hi, not idea if these are related but since updating the Phoca Restaurant Menu PDF does not work. All I did was update the plugin.

Phoca PDF
Administrator Component 3.0.5 19/05/2018

I have been getting the PHP error_log message since I installed the PDF plugin though.

Also is there a way to open the PDF in a new tab? I would like my site to stay open and have the PDF open in a new tab when clicking the icon.
