Hi, I'm Marco,
I'm new to phoca gallery and I'd like to use it in my sites.
I have a question, I'd like phoca to generate url exactly in this way:

• http://www.domainname.com/images/categoryname/imagename

where 'categoryname' and 'imagename' are assigned by administrator during insert.

That's because I want to have the opportunity to change site's technology without losing page rank for images and galleries.
I'd like to use the same url pattern in all my sites regardless of technology.

What is the right way to get this url pattern using phoca gallery? Do I need any plugin?

Hi, for this you need to some SEF extension.

Phoca SEF is a redirect extension - see: https://www.phoca.cz/phocasef

thanks for your fast reply.
I've read Phoca SEF documentation, but I'm not sure it can satisfy my needs.
Maybe I was not so clear because of my bad english!
That's what I've done:

• 1) I've created a test category using Phoca Gallery Control Panel
  2) I've uploaded a test image in that category using Phoca Gallery Control Panel
  3) I created a Phoca 'List of category' menu item using Joomla Menu Manager

Now in my homepage I have a link to categories list. If I click on the test category, I have the image list.
The images urls are rendered as 'http://127.0.0.1/myalbums/1-testalbum/d ... =component', instead I want an url like 'http://127.0.0.1/myalbums/testalbum/testimage'.
I don't think phoca SEF can change that url, am I wrong?
Can I setup phoca component to make url in the way I wish?

I've read a lot of forum and documentation, but no success. I've also took a look at sh404SEF, but it's not free and I don't think it can be useful for my purpose.

If what I ask is possible, I'd like to know how to get it in a detailed way.

Hi, as written Phoca SEF is redirection component.

You can do SEF links e.g. in Phoca Gallery, if you will enable SEF options in global configuration of Joomla!
