Phoca Download Content Button

Hi, I am using the Phoca download component which is great so thank you. I have installed the Download Content Button which navigates fine when trying to put a link into the content part of a virtuemart product. It does not create a button and just puts code which does not work and even if I insert it in the code view it still does not work it just looks like this:
To Download the Brochure {phocadownload view=file|id=12|target=b}

Hi,
sorry, Christine has just made me aware that you are using the plugins in Virtuemart.
I have installed the Download Content Button which navigates fine when trying to put a link into the content part of a virtuemart product.
I had skipped that. Content plugins are made for articles written with com_content. Therefore, this will probably not work in a Virtuemart product. Since I do not use Vituemart, I cannot test it either. :(

Kind regards,
Benno

Is there a way to find the direct link to the document that is to be downloaded? When I copy link address and set that as the link it just gives me a 404 error.

Hi, it depends on where the file is stored. If on your server - it will be just in phocadownload folder in root of your Joomla! or if it is link to external server?
