Installation problem phoca gallery 4.3.18 in subdomain

Dear Jan,

I try to install phocagallery_v4.3.18.zip in a subdomain www.ijsvogel.henk-weltje.nl in my website.

I use Phocagallery already quite some time (very happy with it!) in the main domain www.henk-weltje.nl
.
I encountered installation problems using your website so I downloaded the zip file, unzipped and ftp’d the files in the tmp folder.
After installation I see (sorry Dutch Joomla version) 😉: I've added some english translation..

JInstaller: :Installeren: Kan geen XML instellingenbestand vinden (cannot find property file)

Uploading installation from the zip file gave exactly the same problem.
The xml file is available in the tmp folder.

I already installed other extensions the same way and those did not cause problems so the tmp folder is fine.
Using Joomla 3.9.22 stable.

Problem is solved now. There was a folder /domains/henk-weltje.nl/public_html/ijsvogel/components/com_phocagallery
This folder was installed during probably a failing installation process.
I renamed the folder and installed again and... it installed correctly now.

Sorry for the confusion. I am still confused myself ;-)

Hello all,
I have exactly the same problem. I have checked the path mentioned above and there is no folder created after unsuccessfull instalation. Can anybody helps with the solution?

Hi, when there are problems with some extension on server and it includes no data (or data which can be uninstalled), the removing the extension from system completely can help:

The the reinstallation could be done. (But be aware, this is only for extensions where you can lose data or you have made backup of them)
