Suggestion for Gallery Plugin & Button

At present the plugin has the option to hide (not include) a list of categories when using

view=categories

This means that if you subsequently add a new category it will automatically get displayed wherever you have used the plugin to show some categories.

It would be useful to have an alternative to list categories that you wanted to show rather than those you wanted to hide.

Secondly the button only seems to give the option to show a list of categories (all or all taking account of the hide list)

It would be useful if the button also had the option to select a single category to show - which is available in the plugin but you have to know the category id and enter the option manually:

Hi, thank you for your ideas, anyway, the categoryid parameter is used only when displaying category view.

but the same plugin is used both to display a single category and a selection of categories, so it would be helpful if the button had the option to specify a single category id as an alternative to the all categories with optional 'hide' list.
