Hi folks,
I´ve been using the phocagallery quite a while now and now am trying to use it on another website.
And yes, I have read the manual but I did not achieve two requirements:
1. I would like to have a category view which contains photos only and the category-name is displayed in the photo (like a watermark) or small close above the photo.
2. I would like to have a category view where the category information is displayed left of the gallery. The gallery itself contains a photoswipe and thumbnails. How do I get the text displayed left of it in order not to waste room on top?
I made a scetch. Hope the illustrates what I mean.

Thanks in advance for reading and your hints.
Best, Phulc

Re: Headline and Infotext left of gallery
Hi,
1) this can be easily done per CSS - you will add minus padding or margin for the title, see here:
https://www.phoca.cz/wallpapers/category/1-alps - the icons are displayed over images, the same way the title can be moved.
2) I think, you need to customize the category view template - directly in the gallery or better with override of the template (template overrides the phoca gallery category view output - components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/ ... )

Hi Jan,
thanks for your reply.
I am trying to find the places you mentioned and testing slight changes. I must confess: without any success by now.
I'll keep trying ...

Concearning 1):
For the categories view the style that is used in your demo (https://www.phoca.cz/joomla3demo/) would work for me as well if I leave away the folder icon. Sample photos of the categories in a box and the category name underneath. What are the settings for that?

concearning 2)
I am almost there. Text is left, gallery is right. Size defined, ok.
Still above the gallery two blank lines are inserted, so left and right column do not start equally at the top. Where are those two blank lines produced? What would there be inserted if allowed?
Best, Phulc

Hi, which two blank lines do you mean? Can you paste a screenshot or live site?
