Poca Phlic for Joomla 2.5

I'm using the Phoca Phlic template on a local server (XAMPP) and Joomla 2.5. On the download section this template refers to Joomla1.7. So far I was able to install all components and modules, apart from a social media module. Is this template reliable for use on a live Joomla 2.5 website?
