Hi there,
For my site I have NOT enabled download, so my visitors cannot DOWNLOAD my original pictures, only view them.
Example: I upload my original pictures to folder 'example', save them and phoca automatically places a watermark on them.
These pictures with watermark are saved in 'example/thumbs'. These are the pics the visitors will see.
BUT in the folder 'example' there are still my original pictures. I don't need these files at the end. Is there a way to delete these original uploaded pictures at the end, automatically? Is there such an option?
automatically delete uploaded (non-used) files

Hi,
You can delete the original images manually, by FTP.
Kind regards,
Benno
No, there is no such option, because the original images are needed in some cases (e.g. exif infos & geotagging)BUT in the folder 'example' there are still my original pictures. Hi Benno,
Thanks for your reply.
When I delete the original files the frontend is OK.
In the backend eveything also works good, but I don't see the little thumbnails and filenames anymore.
Not that big a problem, but is there a way so that I can see those thumbnails + filesnames again in the backend?

You can not see the filenames, because they are taken from the original images (which are deleted now), but I have no idea why the small thumbnails are not longer visible in backend..Not that big a problem, but is there a way so that I can see those thumbnails + filesnames again in the backend?

Re: automatically delete uploaded (non-used) files
Oops... it's been a long since I uploaded new photos to my website and ran into this "problem" again...
Is there someone from Phoca.cz who can help me?
The original uploaded files on my site are not used... it is taking up webspace so I would like to delete them.
I can delete them > the photogallery keeps working in the frontend.
Only in the backend when I go the Phoca compenent and choose Images the thumbail and file title are gone ...
Is there a solution for this...

Hi, see similar posts in this forum, you can delete the original images but then you will be limited - some features still use them (to reload thumbnails, to compute size of image, to download image, etc. etc., see:
