Phoco Philic template and Virtuemart pricing

Post by purrsian »

I'm trying to get the pricing on my website to be a little clearer about discounts. At the moment, it shows final sale price, with "discount: $x" underneath if there is discount. I'd rather the first price be the usual price, then show the discounted price, as I think this is clearer. I don't want people thinking that they'll be paying the first price (final price) minus the discount, as the discount has already been applied!

You can see examples of the current state here: http://www.acountrylane.com.au/discounted-items

I have been trying to edit the price settings in Virtuemart configuration - pricing.
You can see a screenshot of my current settings here: http://www.acountrylane.com.au/images/S ... 9%20PM.png
Sorry I don't know how to add the image any other way.

As you can see, I have a number of price settings activated, but nothing changes on the frontend. I can tick or untick anything in the "show following prices" side, but nothing changes. However if I untick "show prices", then prices actually are removed.

The only conclusion I can come to is that my template is affecting it somehow. I use the Phoca Philic template. I have really tried to search for some answers on how to edit template files, but nothing seems to fit my problem and my pHp skills are basic to say the least. Is it likely that this problem is indeed caused by the template?

I hope I have been clear enough here - my brain is a little everywhere now because I've been searching and wracking my brain so much to figure this out. If there is any other information or screenshots I can provide to help figure this out, please let me know :) Thanks for any help!

Hi, Phoca Phlic does not have style VM items, so the formatting should be independent to this - see e.g. Phoca Mallo template which include VM styles:
