Open Graph only works on homepage

Post by FuZZball »

I have a strange issue, after adding the Open Graph plugin to my site, i only see og tags in the source of my homepages. None of the other pages have og tags.

My site has two languages and i use search engine friendly URL's

Joomla! 3.4.3
phoca open graph v3.0.3

I have also added XMLNS attributes into HTML tag, using your site plugin:

xmlns:og="http://ogp.me/ns#"
xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"
Hope you can help.

And those do show up on every page.

Hi, do you use standard Joomla! features for displaying articles or some specific framework?

Hi Jan,

I am using YooTheme which has the Warp Framework ( yootheme.com/themes/warp-framework ), but i think they leave most of the default functionality in tact.

Hmm, and when you test it with some standard template?

Yes, it seems to be in the template. Only the homepage and Blog posts get OG tags and sharing buttons, because they figure that other pages arn't worth sharing.

Thanks for your help

Hi, it is a content plugin, this means, it only works on sites where articles or their categories (category view, blog view) are rendered.

Are you other pages built with article.

Yes, all the pages are articles, for some reason it seems that "uncatogorised" articles don't show the tags.

Hmmm, the "uncategorized" status is in fact the same like category "uncategorized"

So there should not be any problem with displaying it  Testing now and it works ok for me.

So when you change it to some other category, there is no problem?

It gets even more strange, when i set the blog post to "uncategorised", it still shows the tags, and for one article that had the category "uncategorised" i changed it to a different category and than back to "uncategorised" and it does show the OG tags.

- view-source:https://www.lotusfish.nl/yoga-rotterdam ... r-kinderen

if i do the same for an other "uncategorised" article (below), it still doesn't show the OG tags.

- view-source:https://www.lotusfish.nl/yoga-rotterdam ... -technique

I did clear the cache using "system clear cache"

I have no idea what is going on. the articles are of the same type

Hi, hmmm, this really seems like some cache problem but if you have clear it and disabled it, it should not have any influence on this.

But why it sometimes displays it and sometimes not, this is really something what I don't know  :-( :-(
